Keith (KeeKee) Johnson, also known as Fame of the
musical duo Fortune -N- Fame, has lead an active singing platform since
the tender age of ten, singing with his family’s gospel group. Born and
raised in Tyler, Texas, Keith’s performing abilities throughout high
school landed him numerous first place achievements, trophies, and other
awards during in talent shows, school activities, and other community
events.
After high school, in pursuit of his musical career, Keith formed a band
and played in various nightclubs throughout California. As lead vocalist,
he traveled with the Rick Robert’s Agency in and around British Columbia,
Canada.
Upon returning to California, he joined up with a group called Brothers
Owens, under the direction of the Shannon Green Agency. In keeping his
singing career active, he teamed with Firelight, where they toured the
Nations cities.
Keith’s talents are not limited to singing. He has collaborated on musical
presentations, he’s played for each performance, and he also acted in the
capacity of managing the details, arrangements, meetings, publications,
and sales of the group. It’s interesting to note that Keith’s
accomplishments are endless. He is always striving to reach for higher
goals and challenges by creating milestones for himself.
Keith has written, produced, and performed for such groups as M.C. Hammer,
Georgio, and the Braxton Brothers. He even appeared on Star Search ’93,
which was his utopia; I’m happy to say, he won. In his words, it was “the
cream of the crop”.
Recently, Keith was well received at the First Annual Roy Barker (49ers)
Celebrity Basketball game where he sang the National Anthem. That
performance culminated with another invited to sing the National Anthem at
one of the Golden State Warriors’ Basketball game.
So, if you enjoy the sounds of Luther, Marvin Gaye, and Babyface, you will
thoroughly be taken with the Smooth Silky Soul Sound of Keith (KeeKee)
Johnson”,
according to Ed McMahn.
